A quick dash across Mount’s Bay yesterday afternoon for the crew of our Inshore lifeboat…two members of the public were cut off by the tide on Chapel Rock, Marazion. Successfully rescued and returned safely to the shore. Crew : Helm James Roberts, Andrew Wood, Amy Smith & Tom Matson. RNLI Volunteer Press Officer Elaine Bawden says, ‘The tide can come in very quickly and catch people out. Fortunately, today no one was hurt, however we would urge people to check the tide timetables before walking along the shoreline. We would always recommend that people carry a means of calling for help and if they get into difficulties dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.’
